Our Mission
The Welcome Table Catholic LGBTQ Community includes LGBTQ people who are active, struggling, and former Catholics, as well as families and allies, committed to bringing our whole selves to God and each other as gifts to share in love.
Catholic teaching on our common human dignity, the unconditional, limitless, and intimate love of Jesus found in the Gospels, and the primacy of the individual conscience as formed in relationship with our Creator, the Word of God, and tradition, are the foundations on which our community stands.
We publish a monthly newsletter with online events and resources for those interested in exploring the intersection of Catholic faith and sexual orientation or gender identity. There is a sign-up form on the newsletter page of this site.
Support and faith sharing opportunities for LGBTQ Catholics (active, struggling, or former), as well as Catholic parents of LGBTQ children are available through individual conversations, connections to people in similar situations, referrals to non-judgmental spiritual directors or clergy, and other gatherings as needed. Whether you live in the Pittsburgh area or want to connect online, please do not hesitate to reach out through the contact form.
